Monthly Top Ten: Beauty Products

I’ll admit it: I’m a beauty junkie. Skincare…make up… I’m obsessed!

I’ve narrowed down my top ten absolute favourite beauty products of the last month to compile this list of make up, skincare, hair, and nail must haves.

1. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Conditioner

This conditioner is a literal miracle worker! After years of bleaching, colouring and being curled/straightened into oblivion, it’s safe to say that my hair was WRECKED. Like ‘to the point of considering chopping it all off’ wrecked… and then I discovered Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day products. After only a few washes, my hair seemed to magically repair itself! I honestly could not recommend this conditioner more.    £12 (60ml) from

2. Smith and Cult Doe My Dear Nail Polish

Now let me just start this my saying that 9/10 times I am NOT a nail polish kind of person. As a musician, I play guitar A LOT, and I usually find that any nail polish I buy chips off in an instant. Not this one. This nail polish will leave you with a flawless manicure for AGES. In fact, I’m wearing it as I type, and, after a full week of writing, playing guitar, even doing the dishes, my nails are chip free. I recommend topping with a clear polish –  your nails will literally look like you just stepped out of the nail salon!    £19 from

3. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

This oil is for you hair and your skin. It’ll make your hair, skin, and probably your soul, GLOW. I feel like a literal angel whenever I use this, and, if I use this before bed,  it gives me an idea of what it must be like to wake up as Kendall Jenner in the morning (you know, minus the fame and fortune and face) as you feel LITERALLY glowing. £17 (50mls) from

4. Avene Cleanance Mask

This mask/scrub is AMAZING. It’s my go-to when I notice my skin is showing the early signs of a breakout. I apply it as a mask, let it sit, then rinse, and it greatly reduces all signs. Although it’s not its intended use, I sometimes apply a light layer as an overnight mask and let me tell you, that is where this products REALLY shines. My skin, which was up until recently in the realms of borderline acne, has become SO clear since using this. £9.80 (50 mls) from

5. Smith and Cult Book of Eyes Noonsuite Eyeshadow

I’m pretty obsessed with Smith and Cult’s products, and this eyeshadow is my favourite. It’s gorgeously pigmented, applies smoothly, and the colours are absolutely stunning. This palette really helps to accentuate the golden/brown tones in my hazel eyes, so if you have Hazel-Brown eyes this palette will make them look ridiculously gorgeous. The palette also comes in three other colours and rest assured, I will be buying all of them. £34 from

6. Burts Bees100% Natural Lip Balm

This is my saving grace during the winter/spring months. My little tube of this lip balm never leaves my side. I literally could not live without it. £3.99 from

7. La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque

This mask leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I have pretty sensitive skin so I tend not to use this product all the time, but as a weekly treatment it works wonders. I’ve yet to try other La Roche-Posay products but, judging by how obsessed with this mask I am, I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of their products on this blog in the future. £16 (50mls) from

8. Smith and Cult Lash Dance Mascara

*Gasp* “More Smith and Cult?!” I hear you say? Yes….and yes again. This mascara is my absolute favourite. It’s pretty thick as far as consistency goes – a little goes a long way – so it may not be for you if you prefer slightly lighter mascaras, but nothing makes my lashes pop like this one and I highly recommend it. £24 from

9. Avene Thermal Spring Water

This spray can be used as a toner or just to freshen up midday. I personally use it as a toner and adore it for its soothing effect. It is great for using on your skin after you have used a stronger product if, like me, your skin reacts quite sensitively to products such as exfoliants. £10 (300mls) from

10. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo

Last on this list is the Shampoo counterpart of the first item mentioned. This shampoo does it all. It removes all traces of dirt and oil while leaving your hair feeling healthy and moisturised. I am a huge fan of Living Proof’s PHD products and would not be able to manage without them! £12 (60mls) at
